Jacques Bermon Webster, II (born April 30, 1991), also known as Travis Scott (previously Travi$ Scott) is a popular American rapper. He is also a singer, songwriter record producer, singer, and songwriter. The stage name he uses is that of a loved uncle and is also the first name of Kid Cudi, his inspiration (whose real name was Scott Mescudi). In 2012, Scott signed his first major label contract with Epic Records. He also signed a publishing deal with GOOD Music with Kanye West. In April 2013 Scott signed a joint recording contract with Epic and T.I. Then, he launched his Grand Hustle imprint. Scott's debut album of full length, Owl Pharaoh (1983) was released on self-release. It was followed with a second mixtape, Days Before Rodeo, in 2014. The album that he released as his debut studio album, Rodeo (2015), was led by the hit track "Antidote". The second album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016) was his first number-one album on the Billboard 200. Scott released Birds in the Trap: Sing McCKnight (2016) together with Quavo, under the collective name Huncho Jack. In the year 2018, Astroworld was released to praise from the critics. It was the first album to feature his Billboard Hot 100 top 100 single, "Sicko Mode" feat. Drake. Scott's album JackBoys was released in the latter half of 2019 on Cactus Jack Records. It made it to the top of the Billboard 200. Following the release of his single "Franchise", which featured Young Thug and M.I.A., Scott was able to release the compilation album JackBoys. Scott was the first artist to make it to the top spot on the Hot 100 with three songs in less than a year.
